Scoped Rifle Applications – 2 Days

Building on the fundamentals gained in our Scoped Rifle Elements class, this 2 day class advances the student to a higher level of proficiency.   Students will be challenged with a variety of field positions and compressed time limits to engage difficult targets.

In addition to developing individual marksmanship skills, this class introduces the student to:SRA

  • Spotter skills and shooter/spotter teams
  • Using reticles to estimate range
  • Advanced equipment diagnostics
  • Developing range cards and field sketches
  • Improvised rests and supports
  • Practical applications

 

 

Shooters will need a scoped center-fire rifle capable of minute-of-angle accuracy (.223, .308 and similar calibers are preferred, no magnums please).    Shooters will also need 200 rounds of quality ammunition, a “Dope” book or notebook, and a shooting mat or pad.   Students are required to have attended our Scoped Rifle Elements class or an equivalent class taught by a recognized school (please contact us if you have any questions on this).

This class is fast paced, and involve some fairly strenuous activity including a lot of walking, and a lot of time spent in the prone shooting position as well as field positions.
