Jeremy Decker

Instructor Jeremy Decker has been a firearms instructor since 2000.  He has worked part-time in Law Enforcement in various positions since 2003 including patrol, plain clothes and as his department’s armorer.  Jeremy is an OPOTA-certified Firearms Instructor.

His training background includes multiple classes from Tactical Defense Institute, and a number of distinguished instructors such as:  Pat Rogers, Ken Hackathorn, Bill Jeans, Southnarc, Michael Janich and others.  In addition, Jeremy serves as one of the shoot directors for Sandusky County Sportsman’s Club.

 

Michael Lake

Instructor Michael Lake is a Benefactor Life Member of the National Rifle Association and has been actively involved in a variety shooting activities since 1989.   In addition to being a certified range safety officer and holding NRA instructor ratings in home firearms safety, reloading, pistol, personal protection inside and outside the home, he holds armorer certifications in Glock handguns, Mossberg shotguns and AR-15 style rifles and carbines.

He has received training from the US Army Marksmanship Unit, the US Marine Corps Rifle Team and some of the finest private training facilities in the nation, including: Thunder Ranch, Tactical Defense Institute, Blackwater US Training Center, Badlands Tactical Training Center, and Tactical Response.

Michael is currently a contractor for the DOE in Northern New Mexico, and is an accomplished Freemason.

 

Rowland Rivero

Instructor Rowland Rivero is a board-certified physician practicing in NW Ohio. He attended medical school on a Navy Scholarship and served on the east coast with the United States Navy and Marine Corps. He holds certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He continues to serve the community as a SWAT Doctor with a Regional SWAT Team. In this role he supports and educates SWAT members in tactical combat casualty care practices and procedures for self and buddy care on scene.

In addition to his medical endeavors, Rowland is also an NRA certified instructor, Range Safety Officer, and Life Member of the NRA. His shooting interests started in USPSA competitive pistol shooting and “outlaw 3 gun” competitions held regionally. Rowland continues to train, non only with SWAT,  but also with respected firearms instructors throughout the country.

 

Robert Kodysh

Instructor Robert Kodysh began shooting at the age of 9.  He has spent many hours fishing, trapping and hunting small game, waterfowl, and deer.  Robert’s formal firearms experience began at Camp Perry with the Army Marksmanship Unit’s Small Arms Firing School and with the Civilian Marksmanship Program as a junior service rifle competitor.  Robert has been an EMT, has served in the USAF, and is currently a journeyman Steamfitter/Welder and Certified Welding Inspector.  In addition to his military and competitive training, Robert has trained with Badlands Tactical, Greg Ellifritz, Paul Sharp, SouthNarc, and others. Robert is useful to have around for carrying heavy stuff, scaring unwelcome observers away, and while refueling on road trips in sketchy parts of town in the middle of the night.
